Society's Child is a feature film tells the story of musician and filmmaker Dylan Rothbein.
Society's Child examines disability from a variety of different perspectives, from libertinism to progressivism. We examine critical issues in Society's Child such as healthcare, to victimless crimes. In Society's Child the audience gets to be a fly on the wall observing the inner workings of the special education system. In Society's Child we explore various genres of music from Rock N Roll to American Roots music. In Society's Child we examine the role of disability and LGBT identities. In Society's Child we provide the audience with an in depth look into developmental disabilities like Autism, and Cerebral Palsy. In Society's Child we give the audience an inside look into various supports for psychiatric impairments like medication and exposure therapy. In Society's Child we discuss the role of diversity in gender and sexuality in special education. In Society's Child we discuss comparative Jewish thought of recontructionist, conservative and Orthodox. This film is currently in pre production.
Society's Child Feature Film has a sister project called "Tommy I'm Following You" which is the soundtrack of Society's Child. "Tommy I'm Following You" is based off of Tommy by The Who and American Idiot. On this album we explore all different types of Rock N Roll from every era, as well as influences of American Roots music. On Society's Child songs vary in topics from eugenics to the history of grassroots movements.
